Artist Brandon Ortwein asked the question: What if famous TV/Movie cars were sent to the body shop and returned with the wrong parts? Say for example Doc Brown sends his Delorean to the shop and it was returned with a door off the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee? The end result is hilarious. Brandon has created several of these scenarios in his works on this theme. You can checkout some of them below.

Marty McFly: This is heavy Doc, they must have mistaken us for the Good Ole Boys.
Mr. T: I pitty the foo that thinks we're the Scooby Doo Detective Agency.

Which is worse a droid being more than meets the eye or an autobot being part droid?

Glad to see everyone enjoyed our first Car Town TV and Movie Car Templates post. The game has really taken off. There have been a lot of cool additions to the game. Including a few base cars for popular tv/movie cars, Bandit Trans Am, 1969 Dodge Charger and 1981 Delorean DMC-12 to name a few. Now I know this isn't exactly an On Screen Car. But it is related! I promise you! A french artist named Nils Guadagnin has recreated one of the pop icons from the movie Back to the Future II. I'm sure you recall seeing Marty McFly running from future Tannen gang on the streets of Hill Valley 2015. We may be less than six years away from 2015. But we still don't have hover technology. Or do we? I wish. Guadagnin was able to simulate the hovering in his artwork by using electromagnets and a laser tracking system. It can hover but not support weight. Have you ever wanted to drive a Back to the Future Delorean? That dream may be achievable for some lucky people. However for the rest of us there is a sweet video game modification that allows you to virtually live that dream. A group of Back to the Future fans made a total conversion pack built on the popular game Grand Thief Auto: Vice City and San Andres. Not only can you drive a Back to the Future Delorean. You can drive a number of vehicles seen in the trilogy. Wanta take a spin in the old west? How about the Delorean from the third film? Is flying your thing? How about the version from second film? Even the ELB Time Machine train is available.

Each of the Delorean cars feature keyboard shortcut activated time circuits. Not to mention working lights and effects. Of course at 88 miles per hour you will see sparks followed by two fire trails left behind as your Delorean travels through time. Each car also has features for the respected version. For example you can run out of pultonium. As mentioned before, the second film version flys.
Oh wait. Did I mention a treat for the Knight Rider fans? There is a the KITT mini-mod as well. You can drive KITT in different modes include the "Super Pursuit Mode." Since Toyota has been in the news recently with the huge recall on gas pedal assemblies. I thought I would do a quick post about my favorite Toyota Truck ever featured in film, Marty's 1985 Toyota 4x4 Xtra Cab Truck from the Back to the Future Trilogy.

Early in the first Back to the Future film, Marty McFly nearly falls over after seeing the truck above for the first time. His reaction "Check-out that 4x4!" He told his girlfriend, Jennifer that he would love throw a few sleeping bags in the back of the truck and take it up to the lake. He told her, someday that truck would be his. Little did he know that it would later happen, but only after trip to the past changes his future. When he arrived home from 1955, it was sitting in the garage with a single-coat wax job by Biff Tannen.
The truck made a short return in the beginning of Back to the Future II as well. The scene pretty much just connected the two films. However the truck does comes up in conversion. The future McFly family is sitting around the table, talking about how Marty broke his hand in an auto accident during a street drag race. The conversion serves as some foreshadowing as to what happens at the end of Back to the Future III.
The truck got it's big break near the end of the final movie. Marty and Jennifer are shown riding through the suburbs in the truck. They're on their way to the crash site of the Delorean. While stopped at a red light, Needles Tannen Douglas J. Needles challenges Marty to a race. The light turns green and Marty floors it in reverse and does a 180. Looking back, the couple watches Needle's near miss with a Rolls Royce. Marty changed the future by avoiding the accident that would have cost him his music career.

Yeah... That would have hurt.
Final Thoughts
I give the truck's appearance two thumbs up. I like the wheels and all the extras. I think it was a good fit for Marty's character. It would be a fairly easy truck to replicate and show as a movie vehicle clone. There were a lot of these trucks made. Who knows, I might get around to making one someday.
