Imagine your favorite movie cars as Pixar characters! Well the guys over at Next Movie commissioned Old Red Jalopy (a poster designer) to anthropomorphically redesign seven famous movie cars as Cars 2 characters! Seven famous movie cars were Pixarized (is that even a word?). Not sure. But I agree with NextMovie.com, I too smell a concept for some interesting sequel material! Listen up Pixar and Cars fans!
All of the cars feature eyes on their windshields just like the regular Pixar Cars characters. Each of them have a unique smile and facial expression. I like how the artist took the time to make each car special. I can start to see voices and personalities forming in my head for some of the cars. However the pieces that really caught my eye were the Delorean Time Machine, The Batmobile, and Ecto 1! Check them out over at NextMovie.com! Hopefully Old Red Jalopy will have these posted on their site for public consumption too! See ya next time.

Artist Brandon Ortwein asked the question: What if famous TV/Movie cars were sent to the body shop and returned with the wrong parts? Say for example Doc Brown sends his Delorean to the shop and it was returned with a door off the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee? The end result is hilarious. Brandon has created several of these scenarios in his works on this theme. You can checkout some of them below.
Doc Brown: Great Scott! The south must have raised again!
Marty McFly: This is heavy Doc, they must have mistaken us for the Good Ole Boys.
Mr. T: I pitty the foo that thinks we're the Scooby Doo Detective Agency.
Waylon Jennings: Well now it look's like the boys are making a statement: 'They an't afraid of no ghost.'
Which is worse a droid being more than meets the eye or an autobot being part droid?
You can also find more of Brandon's work on Flickr. If you would like to own or wear his designs you can find them on society6. Hopefully we'll see more of his work to come in the future. Till next time, be sure check with your body shop before picking up your On Screen Cars!

What happens when you love TV/Movie cars and Lego? Well ya put them together of course! Zach Sweigart is what you might call a Legomaniac. I can't blame him. It happens to the best of us. We stumbled across Zach's designs through a site called MOCpages.com. It's kinda like MySpace/Facebook for Lego fanatics to share their designs. We were so impressed we decided to post some of Zach's designs (with his permission of course).
Back to the Future - 1981 Delorean DMC-12. This design was featured in the third issue of Brickjounrnal magazine. You can see more of this design on his MOC page.
Starsky and Hutch - 1976 Ford Gran Torino. Check out the awesome detail on the grill.
Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000) - 1967 Shelby GT-500 'Eleanor'
Knight Rider - 1982 Pontiac Trans Am
Batmobile - 1989
Halo - Warthog M12. What? It's a OSC car too! Video games count.
When Zach isn't studying for college or building Lego creations he's working on his 1977 Trans Am. Sweet ride my friend. You can see more images of Zach's work on his MOC page. Got any OSC art you would like to submit? Send us a line via our contact page. We would love to feature it. Looking to build your own OSC Lego creations? Check out some of the great sets and parts to get ya started below. See ya next time!
